| The AquaPure Filter Systems uses the latest in Filtration Technology. When it comes to filtration we use a pre-coat process that provides better protection against contaminants. Pre-coat filtration removes particles, off tastes and odors, asbestos, fibers, cysts like Cryptosporidium and Giardia, and other harmful contaminants. This patented technology offers the largest filtration surface area, a long filter life, and protection against undetectable failures, such as channeling and dumping. (return to Products Section) *Features a proprietary blend of very fine activated carbon treated with a bacteriostat to effectively reduce the growth of bacteria. *Reduces particles as small as 1/2 micron (1/50,000inch), including harmful cysts and asbestos fibers. *Through our exclusive pre-coat process, Micro-Pure coats the filter membrane throughout the life of the cartridge. *A heavy-duty metal cartridge housing protects the filter system from splitting or bursting. This 1/2-micron filter is tested and certified by WQA according to NSF/ANSI Standard 53: Drinking Water Treatment Units, Health Effects, for the reduction of at least 90% of lead and 99.99% of cysts. This filter is also certified to NSF/ANSI Standard 42: Aesthetic Effects, for the improvement of taste, odor and aesthetic chlorine reduction. |
